Judge Won't Dismiss Police Brutality Suit.

A federal judge has denied a request to dismiss a civil suit  that accused Pennsylvania State Police of brutality.

Robert Leone of Vestal filed the suit in March, claiming officers beat him, and violated his civil rights during an arrest after he failed to stop for police on a Pennsylvania highway.

This video of Leone's arrest back in 2010 surfaced on Youtube last month.

Leone is currently serving a four-year sentence for charges including Assault and Resisting Arrest.

"Were both elated to about the news today.  It means the journey is starting to make its first steps and that justice will be served not only for our son Robert , but for the people of Bradford County who have been living under this onus of corruption" said Frank Leone.

Police claim Leone was responsible for a hit-and-run accident and was out of control the night of his arrest.

Friends continue to support Leone, some are holding a fundraiser on Saturday, July 21st at Champion Speedway in Owego.
