Trimmed-down Tioga County Fair Focuses on Animals

With a good portion of the fairgrounds still off limits due to flood damage, there is no midway or demolition derby at the Tioga County Fair, which is now underway.

However local 4-H kids are still participating, there is food for sale, and the Eudora Exotic Animal Farm will provide folks with a unique experience.

The farm features a giraffe, zebras, parrots, and miniature horses.

Most of the animals are raised at a farm in South Carolina where Mark Nisbet and his family hail from.

"It's real nice because then they get to see a giraffe up close than at a zoo you can't even go pet them, but up here you can pet them, touch them, feed them and everything. My daddy always says, "Animals come first before us," said the owner's daughter Shelby Nisbet.

You haven't missed your chance to see all of these animals up close.

The farm will be at the fair Friday and Saturday from noon until ten.
