Arson Fire That Destroyed Cop's Home Still Under Investigation

New York State Police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of an arson fire from two years ago, that destroyed the house of a policeman.
 
It happened at 60 Etna Road, in the Town of Dryden.

It was the residence of Sgt. Bryan Bangs of the Ithaca Police Department.

Less than five months before the arson,  during a drug investigation, Sgt. Bangs shot and killed a suspect who authorities say was about to run over a police officer.

Officials  determined that  Sgt. Bangs acted properly, but the arson remains unsolved.
