Tiger-to-Tiger NFL Talk

Being a first round draft pick can be difficult.  There's a lot of pressure on  a player when selected that high.  For Endicott native Chandler Jones, he doesn't have to look far for advice.

Obviously Chandler can always turn to his older bother Art who plays for the Baltimore Ravens.  But another friend he can call for advice is Isaiah Kacyvenski.  The former U-E Tiger played eight seasons in the NFL, and knows a thing or two about longevity in the sport.

"If you approach it like a business in such that it's a job, you're not going to perform the way you've always performed," says Kacyvenski.  "So you have to really always capture that feeling you had when you were a little kid and how much you enjoyed the game.  How much you loved it, going to the practices and the lifts and the meetings and everything becomes an opportunity instead of a job."

Kacyvenski held his annual Maggie Memorial Golf Tournament last week, where Chandler was scheduled to attend, but it turns out he was double booked, with the NFL Rookie Symposium taking  precedence.
