Tuesday at the YWCA, Lupardo presented the women's workforce bill. She says it will improve the information and services that women currently receive from New York's Workforce Development system.
Lupardo says people will get information on the gender wage gap.
They will also be able to learn about higher paying jobs that can support their families.
"There are very high percentages of women who are in poverty in situations that really require our compassion and our assistance. we want them to aspire to higher paying jobs and better careers," said Lupardo.
According to the YWCA, nearly 42-percent of female-headed households in Binghamton are living in poverty.
