B-Mets stage a late inning comeback to top the Curve

B-Mets Manager Pedro Lopez was asked Thursday how he felt about his club as they approach the halfway point of the season.

"I think we'll be there in the end," Lopez said.

Friday night against last place Altoona, the B-Mets can start to make up some serious ground.  To do so they turn to Gonzalez Germen on the mound.

Germen went 6 innings giving up 8 hits and 3 runs only one of those earned, while striking out six.

But the B-Mets' bats got hot at the right time as they piled on 3 runs in the sixth to take the lead.  Rylan Sandoval led the offense going 3-4 with 2 RBIs including the hit that allowed Eric Campbell to score the go ahead run.

The B-Mets take Game 1 of the series 4-3.  Game 2 is set for tomorrow night, first pitch 7:05 at NYSEG Stadium.
