"Lost Pawz Animal Rescue" in Endicott is attempting to finish building a new shelter by putting in a new floor, and insulation.
The small organization can house up to twelve animals, and has helped with the adoption of more than 160 animals in the two years they've been open.
"It's so important for us so that we can stay open. If we don't get this done then we're not going to have any options and we'll have to close our doors, and we don't want that to happen. There is so many animals that won't have anywhere to go, most of the shelters in this area, the human societies the small shelters they're full, they don't have room to take in the animals," said Donelle Hartman, owner of Lost Pawz Animal Rescue.
There is going to be a week long basket raffle starting June 22nd at Mark's Coffee Shop in Endicott right across the street from BAE.
