Witness: Wlasiuk Said He'd Make a Murder Look Like a Drowning

A family friend and a police officer were on the stand today at the Peter Wlasiuk trial in Chenango County.

A family acquaintance took the stand inside the Chenango County Court room on Tuesday.

She said a year before Patricia Wlasiuk died Peter Wlasiuk told her if he ever wanted to kill someone he would make is look like a drowning accident.

Sargeant Ted Ellingsen said he interviewed Peter Wlasiuk the day his wife Patricia died. He told the jury Wlasiuk said that he and his wife Patricia were in a vehicle together on their way to pick of their children.

Patricia was driving, saw a deer, swerved and drove into Guilford Lake.
Wlasiuk told the officer he tried to get his wife out but couldn't so he swam to shore. 

The officer observed Wlasiuk's clothes were wet but his hair was neat and dry.The trial continues on Wednesday.
