FEMA to Help Owego-Apalachin School Buildings

FEMA is going to pick up the tab to replace flood-damaged Owego-Apalachin school buildings, including the elementary school.

This is according to Senator Charles Schumer's office.

September's flood caused extensive damage to five of the district's seven buildings, including four that are uninhabitable.

Schumer says he met with FEMA Chief Craig Fugate last month to highlight the slow pace of repairs in the district.
