Victims Advocates Speak Out

Following the tragedy in Triangle this weekend, advocates are speaking out, urging crime victims to seek help.

Officials from the Crime Victim's Assistance Center and S-O-S Shelter took part in Monday's press conference about the Triangle murder/suicide and assault.

"Probably half of our case load every year is serving domestic violence victims in some way, shape, or form. Whether it's a victim or a child who witnesses. It's about 500 or 600 cases so it definitely happens here but what we need to focus on is we do have resources to help people who need it," Raini Baudendistel of the Crime Victim's Assistance Center.\

The S-O-S shelter in Endicott has a 24-hour crisis/support line.

You can call toll-free at 1-877-754-4340.
