$462,000 For Flood Prevention - 10/15/2009

More than $460,000 for flood prevention may soon make its way to Binghamton and Union.
 
Congressman Maurice Hinchey announced Thursday that the house has given final approval for his request of $462,000.

The federal funding will pay for a flood wall over Watson Boulevard in the Town of Union, and to fix  concrete on the south side of the flood channel in Binghamton.

The Senate is also expected to approve the funding.
