Sarah Blazonis
Sarah was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She became involved with media at a young age anchoring her middle school and high school morning news programs and was editor of the high school paper. Sarah graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in May of 2008. She worked and interned at News Channel 34 in Binghamton, interned at WNEP in Moosic, PA, WYOU in Scranton, and WBRE in Wilkes-Barre. In addition to covering the ACA shootings in April of 2009, Sarah has also covered the George Ford Trial and the Stephen Fong Pomeranian Case. Sarah enjoys meeting the people of the Southern Tier, saying “they’re a very welcoming community,” and is conscientious of local issues such as the Binghamton economy and local job market. When not at work Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and reading whenever she has the time. She also loves watching “the greatest comedy series currently on television,” The Office.
