Amanda Kenney

Amanda Kenney began her journey into journalism in high school where she anchored Winslow Township High School’s cable television show in South Jersey. She then became one of the select few in the Philadelphia region to graduate from the KYW Newstudies Program. Amanda went on to Hofstra University in 2005, where she quickly discovered WRHU-FM 88.7. She joined WRHU’s news team and worked as a reporter, anchor, and producer. In 2008 Amanda became the News Director at WRHU. In 2009, Amanda placed ninth in the country for the first round of the Hearst Broadcast Competition.

Amanda previously interned for WABC-TV and NBC News Partnerships in New York City. She has recently completed her one year as production assistant for WCAU - NBC 10 News in Philadelphia. Amanda believes news is all about the people and the stories that are affecting their lives and is excited to cover news for FOX 40 viewers.
