Amanda Kenney
Amanda Kenney began her journey into journalism in high school where
she anchored Winslow Township High School’s cable television show in
South Jersey. She then became one of the select few in the Philadelphia
region to graduate from the KYW Newstudies Program. Amanda went on to
Hofstra University in 2005, where she quickly discovered WRHU-FM 88.7.
She joined WRHU’s news team and worked as a reporter, anchor, and
producer. In 2008 Amanda became the News Director at WRHU. In 2009,
Amanda placed ninth in the country for the first round of the Hearst
Broadcast Competition.
Amanda previously interned for WABC-TV and NBC News Partnerships in New
York City. She has recently completed her one year as production
assistant for WCAU - NBC 10 News in Philadelphia. Amanda believes news
is all about the people and the stories that are affecting their lives
and is excited to cover news for FOX 40 viewers.
