: Office for Aging is offering a program called Positive Aging Academy, a six week series that explores the keys to longevity, the value of purpose after retirement and the challenges of living on a fixed income.
The series runs Wednesdays, April 10 - May 22 from 12:45 - 2:45 pm. Each workshop contains a variety of activities. Participants may attend all 6 sessions or choose the topic that most interests them, as each stands on its own.
April 10 - Blue Zones: Locations where high numbers of people reach age
100 or more and the factors that make this happen.
April 17 - Memoir: The value of reflecting on and recording your life and legacy.
April 24 - Living on Purpose: Activities/causes to most satisfy, fulfill or guide you.
May 8 - Health through social connections: Revisiting the importance of relationships
May 15- Money Issues: Know what you value, then "money" will come.
May 22 - Streamlining for Purposeful Living: What and how to downsize, leaving more time for purpose.
