When looking to buy a new or used car there are several things
to keep in mind.
- Determine a fair price—After deciding what kind of
car you want to purchase, figure out a realistic, fair price
you can afford to pay each month. Do your research to see
the average price people are paying for vehicle you are
interested in.
- Figure out your trade-in value—If you are looking
to trade in your vehicle, make sure you know the value of
your car before you drive into the dealership. Kelley Blue
Book can estimate the car’s worth to make sure you’re
getting a fair deal.
- Negotiate
your price—Do not negotiate based on monthly payment. It can
seem like you’re paying less by extending the length of the
loan, but in fact you end up paying more. Only negotiate
based on the price of the vehicle.
-
Get your financing in order—At GHS you can
apply for a loan to purchase both new and used vehicles,
with either variable and fixed-rates, and terms up to 72
months (6 years).
