What a weekend!
A few observations about the first football friday of the year.
-Vestal looks much improved and should be a contender in Class A. They absolutely torched Horseheads on the ground and through the air yesterday.
-Binghamton lost their first regular season game since 2007. The Patriots got rolled by an experienced Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders team that has been to the state finals the last 4 years.
-Greene picked up right where they left off last season with a gigantic win over Oxford. It looks like QB Scott Gorton is in for a big year.
-Owego's defense stifled Norwich all night and they look primed for a return to the playoffs. The Indians missed the post-season in 2008 for the first time in 4 years.
