Listen to the 8 male performances

In case you missed them (or just can't get enough) you will find all 8 of the male performances below for you to listen to in .mp3 format. We even included the judges reactions to each one! Enjoy!

Blake Lewis: "All Mixed Up"

Randy: “This is probably the first season we’ve had really current artists like yourself up here. I loved the whole kind of hip-hop and reggae thing. I didn’t even recognize the song, but I loved it, man.”

Paula: “I didn’t know the song either, but I was interested. I was totally in there and I thought, ‘This is really cool.’ Good job.”

Simon: “I didn’t understand a word you sang…but I think Randy and Paula were right. You are an individual and you are making it current. You will 100 percent be here next week.”

Sanjaya Malakar: "Waiting on the World to Change"

Randy: “When we first saw him, there was something special about him, but he hasn’t returned to form since then.”

Paula: “I think the guys around you are helping to push you to do better. Continue to try to get out of your comfort zone, but don’t lose the sincerity in your voice. I want you to try to raise your game.”

Simon: “The good news is that it wasn’t as ghastly as last week. You’re obviously popular which is why you’re still here, but it wasn’t a very good vocal.”

Sundance Head: "Jeremy"

Randy: “You know what I liked about that, you put your Southern rock thing into a Pearl Jam joint, that was kind of hot right there. I liked that.”

Paula: “Midway through you really kicked into your Sundance groove, and that’s a unique quality. You did really, really well.”

Simon: “I actually didn’t like it as much this week. I think you went from being very good, to what I would call a very generic bar singer. I thought it was a very indulgent choice of song.”

Chris Richardson: "Tonight I Wanna Cry"

Randy: “Chris, you know what I’m loving about you now? Every week you put the boys on blast, man. You sing the Keith Urban song, you put your own twist on it. You are switching it up. This kid is in it to win it.”

Paula: “You picked a great song, you adapted well.”

Simon: “It was good. I’m not jumping out of my chair, it’s not the best vocal we’ve heard. It was cutesy. I thought your voice was a bit nasal. I still don’t think we’ve heard what you’re capable of doing. It was a bit timid and safe, but you sold it.”

Jared Cotter: "If You Really Love Me"

Randy: “I was worried when you first came out, but you gave a solid performance. It was good, man.”

Paula: “Jared, I think you need to work on coloring up the way you sing. There are tender moments where you can go into falsetto. I feel like you shouted the entire song through. Singing on key is great, but I would love to see different emotions.”

Simon: “It wasn’t very original. We have heard a lot of performances like this, and this one gets lost in the mix. But, you are popular. I am slightly disappointed tonight because I am not hearing the ‘wow’ factor.”

Brandon Rogers: "I Just Want to Celebrate"

Randy: “I love that song, dawg. It gave you more of a rock edge. You got a little messed up at the end. But it was a solid performance.”

Paula: “I thought it was pretty phenomenal. You are really proving why you belong on that stage.”

Simon: “I don’t think you have represented yourself well at this stage in the competition. I had high hopes for you because you are one of the better singers. I have a horrible feeling that song may give you a problem this week. I’m nervous for you after that.”

Phil Stacey: "I Need You"

Randy: “That was an interesting song choice. But you know what is cool about you, you remind me of a guy who used to be in Journey. You’ve got that big range. The high points are great, but the low part of your register is not great. Work on the lower register a little bit. I don’t know if this was your best performance.”

Paula: “When you start off, the lower part of your register gets chancey. I don’t feel this was your best performance.”

Simon: “Phil, I didn’t get it at all. It was a very strange choice of song. That wasn’t good enough, sorry.”

Chris Sligh: "Wanna Be Loved"

Randy: “I’m not sure that was my favorite song choice. It wasn’t a stellar night for the boys but I think you get the vote for the best vocals of the night.”

Paula: “It wasn’t my favorite performance. For me it was just kind of middle of the road. Vocally, you need to stretch a little more and take some risks. I liked last week better.”

Simon: “I thought the beginning of the song was very good, but I thought you struggled in the middle of the song. I think you’ve done enough to definitely make it through to the finals, but this was probably not one of your strongest. You have potential, Chris. A lot of potential.”
